Where? Key Combination Action Performed by Access
Data Entry Forms Alt-Down Arrow If a Combo box is selected then the pop-down list appears. Esc exits the combo box.
  Shift-Enter Save the current record
  Shift-F2 Zoom the current data box.
  PgDn / PgUp Move the cursor to the NEXT / PREVIOUS record remaining in the same column.
  Spacebar Presses (clicks) a button that is highlighted.
  Spacebar Changes the sense of a check box or option button.
  Alt-letter Clicks the menu or option with the underlined letter.
  F9 Refresh the contents of a combo list or the currency of fields in the current record.
  Shift-F9 Refresh the underlying data for a sub-form only.
  Ctrl-F4 Close the open screen.
  Ctrl-Z Undo last action - almost whatever you have just done, and now regret doing, can be undone.
  Ctrl-; (semi-colon) Insert today's date.
  Ctrl-' (apostrophe) Copy the contents of the same field from the previous record in the current context.
  Ctrl-+ Add a new record.
  Ctrl-Enter In larger, multi-line text boxes, forces the cursor to a newline.
  Tab Navigate forward through fields on a form.
  Shift-Tab Navigate backward through fields on a form.
  Ctrl-Page Down In a multi-record form, move the cursor to the same field in the next record. This is normally straight down the list. NOTE: Down arrow does not do this.
  Ctrl-Page Up In a multi-record form, move the cursor to the same field in the previous record. This is normally straight up the list. NOTE: Up arrow does not do this.
     
Reporting Alt-V-Z-1 Zoom to 150% of report size.
  Alt-V-Z-F Zoom to Fit the report onto the screen.
     
General F1 Help or assistance from Access' online help facility.
  Ctrl-C Copy selected text.
  Ctrl-X Cut selected text. BEWARE: This also deletes selected records in a multirecord display.
  Ctrl-V Paste clipboard contents.
     
Auto-Complete 12/6 Short date entry: Wherever dates are required you can type in the short version as shown to get the actual date you want which is 12-Jun-2001. Add the year suffix if the date is not in the current year.
